I do long-term reviews of watches. No ‘week on the wrist’ here. I spend a minimum of a month with each timepiece before writing a review. All the watches I review are purchased by me, using my money; they are not supplied by manufacturers, retailers, or other organizations in the watch community.

Cody Lee, CEO at Escapement SV. Since he was eight years old, he has been fascinated with watches after finding a Jurassic Park digital watch in a cereal box. He believes watches should be fun and hopes the watch community can return to having fun while learning about watches.
Escapement SV
Founded in 2020, Escapement SV is a watch reviewing site based in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Escapement SV all started after Cody, the founder, purchased an expensive watch based on reviews he’d read, only to find out it was uncomfortable and not made to withstand the elements. The reviews he found were essentially advertisements, not the truth about the watch. Cody created Escapement SV for others like himself who want an honest review of a watch, how it holds up in the elements, and what it really feels like to wear it over a month, 6 months, or a year.
